Data Governance and Compliance Analyst

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a DATA GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE ANALYST to join our client in Creve Coeur, MO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent IT and collaborate with HR, Legal, and other applicable functions to conduct data risk assessments, document data mappings/life cycle, and help build our data governance model and programs.
- Initial target opportunities include Privacy Data and developing a map of our most important information.
- Develop, document, and implement solutions addressing regulatory, policy and privacy concerns to minimize business impact which would include: Data mapping, Data life cycle management, and Regulatory compliance.
- Ensure that business units, functional teams and third parties follow the company's data governance program, meet data-policy requirements and address data-compliance concerns by facilitating and mediating communication and understanding of these topics.
- Proactively identify and then collaborate with business units and functional teams to provide direction or develop action plans for identified data-compliance risks.
- Assist in the development of data compliance communication, documentation, and processes.
- Provide customer facing responses on the data compliance environment.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, accounting, computer science or a related discipline is required.
- The candidate should have obtained the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification or equivalent experience.
- Five to ten (5 - 10) years of experience in privacy, data protection, security, risk management or compliance.
- Familiarity or experience with cloud computing, online services, Web applications and enterprise applications.
- Ability to understand business process flows and to provide recommendations for operationalizing compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of state, federal and international privacy laws, regulations and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
- Exceptional business judgment, with the ability to think strategically and give practical advice by balancing business needs with data-management risks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work well with a diverse client base.
