Our client is searching for an experienced Data Engineer to join a small team of data scientists. This Data Engineer will be designing and implementing data models in production, automating data flows and pipelines, and designing ETL processes. Proficiency in Python is important; Scala is a plus. Expertise in the Hadoop ecosystem is required (Hive, Spark, Kafka, Hbase). Strong SQL and ETL skills are needed. Expertise in designing and implementing APIs is important, as is familiarity with Flask/Django or other Back End technologies.
