Data Engineer

Mentmore are currently engaged with an advanced analytics and Business Intelligence consultancy based in Rotterdam & Utrecht who are seeking an experienced Data Engineer/Data Scientist with extensive experience around machine learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible to crunch data with the objective to build machine-learning models and to embed them in applications.

Using machine learning tools to develop and train models
-

Feature engineering using various techniques for the enhancement of data
-

Performing efficacy testing of the models
-

Data Preparation
-

Desk research on what type of models to use
-

Machine learn models in Python, R or Scala
-

You will work closely with Data Engineers and Data Scientist and you will be responsible to deliver your piece of the projects.

Run discovery analyses in Python, R, SQL or Scala
-

Build management dashboards & insight analyses
-

Act as Data Scientist enthusiast on latest machine learning & AI trends
-

Working with a team to help solve new, never-before-solved challenges across multiple industries

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Experience with distributed computing, such as Hadoop, Spark, or an MPP environment
- Experience with developing application on full stack of HTTP, JSON, REST, React, Java/C#, SQL and no-SQL databases
- Experience with NLP, Big Data Analytics, and Graphing techniques

Knowledge on the open-source Big Data Ecosystem (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and/or the IaaS or SaaS Ecosystem (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) considered a plus

Programming skills such as Scala, Java, C++ - Must have Machine learning experience
