DATA ENGINEER

We are currently looking for a Data Engineer within Cyber Security for a renowned Bank in the Zurich area.

Summary:

- Analyze requirements and design technical solutions
- Create test plans based on requirements
- Work with architects, engineers, BAs to ensure proposed technical solutions are compatible within the clients environment
- Develop configuration code and scripts as necessary for integration with other components, to fill gaps in the solutions or to automate manual tasks
- Build and test solutions in a lab environment
- Document test results, designs, and operational manuals for the solutions
- Provide third-level support to Production operations teams as necessary

Necessary Skills:

- LOG MANAGEMENT WITHIN BIG DATA PLATFORMS SPLUNK (ARCSIGHT, ELK ELASTICSEARCH, LOGSTASH, KIBANA OR SIMILAR)
- Advanced EXPERIENCE WITH SPLUNK (OR SIMILAR) ideal to create dashboards and creating custom add-ons
- ETL process and data processing (log data) integrate systems together
- Ability to write complex regular expressions
- PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE (PYTHON, JAVASCRIPT)
- Statistics knowledge (general concept)
- Very good English communication skills
- Bachelor degree in computer science or information technology.

Nice to have:

- UNDERSTANDING OF SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES related to threat intelligence, vulnerability management, malware protection, secure configuration, incident response, and monitoring
- Understanding of software development methodologies and life cycle
- Working experience in a Scrum team
