Data Engineer

I AM LOOKING FOR A DATA ENGINEER WHO HAS PLENTLY OF EXPERIENCE USING HADOOP (EG CLOUDERA) TOOLING LIKE SQOOP, KAFKA, HIVE, SPARK, ETC ON A LINUX BASED PLATFORM). THIS IS FOR AN ASSIGNMENT FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS WITH THE POSSIBILITY TO EXTEND. THE INTERNATIONAL, MULTI-LARGE CLIENT OF US IS BASED HERE IN AMSTERDAM. INTERVIEWS WOULD BE PLANNED NEXT WEEK.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

For one of their projects the organization is searching for a data engineer who has experience with Amazon or Microsoft. Due to one of their projects their time is limited. In this role you will use

the existing Azure data lake, which in the end will be temporarily until the new project will be in production. You don't need experience within Azure yourself. All other related projects will be taken care of you.

In this role you will be working with the following IT-tools, etc.

- Datalake, (Cloudera Data Hub (CDH)
- Hadoop (for data storage)
- Hive, Spark for analysing,
- Sqoop, Flume en Kafka (for example data collecting/collection)

YOUR PROFILE

- Bachelor/Master degree
- Working experience with programming languages (for example python, Scala, machine learning, R, etc.)
- Able to ingest different data sources on different platforms (badge and streaming)
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience/understanding about cloud platforms would be a pre
