Data Developer Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- The Data Developer Analyst will produce well functioning reports, dashboards and scorecards with knowledge of both the output tools as well as the structure and complexity of the underlying data.
- They will assist in defining information reporting requirements from various teams.
- The Data Developer Analyst will assist in preparing, developing and maintaining Business Intelligence based upon the tools utilized to collect and maintain the data, including Remedy ticketing system and other database driven information.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Develop, manage and update data models.
- Work with Business Analyst to obtain data requirements to evolve analytics.
- Design conceptual and logical models for data warehouse.
- Communicate model design to technical data team.
- Evolve models to meet new and changing business requirements
- Work closely within ETL initiatives; design (and potentially develop) process for capturing and maintaining metadata from all data store components.

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

- 2+ years SQL
- 2+ data modelling experience
- Experience working in a dynamic environment
- Experienced with multiple data stores.
- Experience developing ETLs; scheduling Cron jobs a plus

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

- Google spreadsheet API or similar (to drive automation of feeding/reading/Scripting spreadsheet data)
- 2-3 years experience in each of the following:

o SQL
o Javascript/JSON
o XML
o Python
o UNIX knowledge (Write Bash/Shell Scripts/VI experience)
o HTML
- Worked in a data analyst capacity, crunching large amounts of data
- Read/write to database using SQL or similar
- Managed/developed complex datasets in xls or google tools; xls/sheets mastery
- Automated/streamlined data flow using above toolset or similar
- DB management expertise; (extraction from varied, complex toolsets)
- Proven ability to process map and plan proposals for future application builds
- Adaptable to change
- Self starter
- Ability to work both collaboratively and on their own
- Eagerness to self learn client's tools
- Capable of:

o Working and contributing in a team setting
o Providing Scripting and apps script support for smaller data projects
o Providing technical assistance to team members

NICE TO HAVE:

- Database design and concepts
- xls macro Scripting
- Experience in developing user interface for reporting, creating graphical representations of data
