Data Conversion and Cleansing Analyst Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a DATA CONVERSION AND CLEANSING ANALYST to join our client in Seattle, WA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

As the Data Conversion and Cleansing Analyst, you will be cleansing, migrating and converting data into an Oracle Transportation Management Application. This involves maintaining a good working relationship with relevant stakeholders throughout migration process to ensure quality results. Through this, you will develop a good working knowledge of client Products and Supply Chain Systems as well as develop knowledge of system environment, integration, and system connectivity.

This position directly supports large-scale implementation of a strategic Global Transportation Management System. The ideal candidate would combine experience with relational databases, complex SQL writing skills, an impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. Analyst will operate in both individual and team environments and is given latitude to create effective solutions to address business needs that directly impact profitability or strategic initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

- Convert and cleanse "big data" and develop and implement relevant tools, scripts, queries, and applications for ETL processes and components to improve daily business process and support relevant projects.
- Liaison between the business/data experts and technical/business project team members/stakeholders, to effectively drive and communicate data quality standards/activities and communicate status.
- Creates and consistently improves the data validation strategy to ensure data is converted and migrated successfully.
- Produces appropriate documentation, reviews and gains approvals from said stakeholders and program auditors.
- Maintain data requirements repository and ensure proper updating of requirements for completeness and correctness.
- Participates in short and long term planning sessions with stakeholders to improve and refine processes that are repeatable in all deployments.
- Establishes metrics program to monitor cleansing and validation progress, profile data to measure quality, integrity, accuracy, and completeness using SQL tools.
- Monitor data validation progress, assist with issue capture and work across all project teams to resolve and communicate issues.
- Assist in creating data audit validation processes and key performance indicators to ensure consistent data maintenance procedures.

Job Qualifications:

- Four (4) year bachelors degree or related experience in MIS or Computer Science required.
- Two (2+) years supervisory/management experience required.
- Five (5+) years data analyst experience (data profiling, data mapping, data validation, data manipulation, data analysis, development of use cases, test cases, etc).
- Three (3+) years of experience in ETL tools such as Informatica, SAS, Oracle etc.
- Thorough working knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Visio
- Ability to write complex SQL statements and knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, RDMBS, stored procedures and packages.
- Experience Querying data for accuracy and completeness.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong leadership skills that maintain effective partnerships across functional groups.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation.
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to establish goals, set priorities and multi-task is a must.
- Working understanding of information systems, business operations, requirements analysis, and integration/design of client solutions.
- Experience developing use cases, functional requirements, SOPs.
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment.

Preferred Job Skills/Certifications/Knowledge:

- High proficiency and proven track record in data analysis and problem solving skills.
- In depth knowledge and application of database concepts.
- Familiarity with ERP and Transportation Management Systems.
- Experience with Oracle 11 relational database management system, Oracle Transportation Management and or Oracle Fusion Transportation Intelligence is a plus.
