Data Consultant/Scientist - 3 Months - Brussels

I am currently recruiting for a Data Consultant to work for a client of mine who are a big European public sector company based in the heart of the European quarter in Brussels.

Tasks:

To analyse the feasibility of new pilot projects from a business and technical perspective.
To formalise requirements together with the business stakeholders (DGs, Member States public administrations) and define a correct scoping.
To support the execution of the pilot projects, by providing technology guidance to the existing development team working on the projects, and by regularly interacting with the projects' stakeholders (business and technical, eg infrastructure team).
To plan and follow-up the (potential) evolution of the pilots to corporate-wide tools/services.
To regularly report to the responsible project officer and the stakeholders on the progress of the different pilots.
To support communication activities, such as preparation of workshops and presentations.

Experience:

. 6+ years Data 
Strong expertise on big data and modern data/text analytics technologies (eg R, Python for data analytics, Hadoop, MongoDB, or equivalent commercial tools/technologies) to support concrete use cases and business needs.
Ability to lead and guide a software development team.
Knowledge of project management methodologies. 
Strong communication skills and capacity to prepare and give presentations on the related subjects.
Strong technical coordination skills.
Ability to prepare and give contextualized presentations to a broad panel of stakeholders.
Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments.

French would be a bonus!
