Data Consultant Job

DATA CONSULTANT needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Wilmington, DE.

THE BIG PICTURE:

- CANDIDATES MUST HAVE BOTH Oracle AND SQL SERVER EXPERIENCES.
- 10 month project, could be extended

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Database Administration role is to maintain and manage the client's Management SQL server and Oracle databases, while ensuring high levels of data availability.
- This individual is responsible for managing data integrity, database performance tuning, database backup and recovery, database upgrades and relocations and troubleshooting any database related issues while supporting database related applications

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum three (3) years experiences in managing Production Oracle databases in Unix or Linux environment. Experience in setting up databases, backup and recovery, performance tuning, database upgrades, database security, user management, and database replication via Data Guard is required.
- Minimum two (2) years experiences in managing Production SQL server 2005 or higher releases. Experience in managing SQL server jobs and troubleshooting SQL server performance issues is critical to this position.
- Solid skills in writing SQL scripts are required.
- Experience with Shell, Perl Scripting or other Scripting language is required.
- Experience in supporting production operations is a plus.
- Industry experience in financial services and banking is a plus.
- Candidates are willing to covert from contractor to a permanent hire.
- Candidates with development, production support, business analysis background are preferred
