Data Centre Project Manager (S6)

Our client is currently going through major transformation of their hardware and require the skills of an experienced DATA CENTRE PROJECT MANAGER for a contract opportunity.

As the Project Manager you will provide assistance and support to the Program Manager Data Centre Reform in leading, managing, directing and coordinating a number of critical activities. This includes the provision, maintenance and improvement of infrastructure, services and processes to ensure that clinical systems and information essential to the day-to-day operations of the Company are highly available, secure and effective.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR;

- The commissioning of infrastructure, services and processes in 2 newly built Tier-3 Data Centres.
- The selection and preparation of application groups in readiness for migration to the new Data Centres.
- The migration of applications and related infrastructure from the source to the target Data Centres.
- Decommissioning activities.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU SHOULD HAVE;

- Extensive experience in program or project management roles, directly accountable for the delivery of complex and/or transformational programs, particularly within the context of multiple large scale complex Data Centre relocations/migrations/transformations.
- Experience in analysing and evaluating Data Centre Infrastructure solution requirements; and providing recommendations to senior management in relation to requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of the impact to Business and IT operating and service delivery models, processes and people in relation to the introduction of change associated with such significant transformational initiatives.
- Technical background in application and/or infrastructure service support and delivery.
- Exceptional presentation, written and oral communication skills; as well as, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- High level organisational, analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to a wide range of managers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating and leading work sessions and discussions with senior managers and cross-functional technical teams to complete complex project plans and milestones, capturing results and producing related documentation.
- Extensive working experience within a complex IT environment with appropriate IT professional qualification and/or relevant tertiary qualifications.
