Data Centre Manager

The role of a Data Centre Manager is to manage all daily tasks related to the efficient running of a Data Centre. This will include managing scheduled implementations, offering up to 3rd line support or multi vendor hardware platforms and working alongside 3rd party engineers.

The Data Centre Manager will be expected to communicate with partner's in-line with agreed SLA's

This enables a timely response and delivery of incidents and implementations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* The role of the Data Centre manager will involve the following:

Manage a team of 3 Data Centre engineers

* Manage and schedule workload including BAU incident resolution and Project implementations
* Interact with project assess technical requirements before shaping into work packages for onsite engineers
* Manage and schedule all onsite deliveries and visitors to site
* Report on Data Centre performance through and agreed set of KPI's
* Manage all changes relating to infrastructure moves and facilities maintenance schedules
* Manage infrastructure deployed within the Data Centre to an agreed matrix
* Manage Data Centre efficiency initiatives
* Manage Data Centre as part of the management team

Qualifications/Experience Required:

The skills required to undertake this role are as follows:-

* Team Management experience- essential
* Data Centre experience- preferred
* Data Centre cabling infrastructure and design knowledge- essential
* Project Management- preferred
* Network, Compute and Storage knowledge- preferred
