Data Centre Implementation Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for analysing, designing & developing & delivering data centre infrastructure including the building envelope and services (cooling, energy management, UPS, emergency power, security, fire systemsetc) as well as the whitespace management - (passive IT)

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

- Select and qualify partners to deliver the end to end data centre environment.
- Drive the partner qualification process.
- Management of third party relationsips controlling scope, quality and cost.
- Work with partners to scope, definedriving end-to-end technical solutions
- Analyze customer requirements, define business requirements & participate in risk analysis
- Work with core team on list of potential activities & solutions
- Develop technical presentations & proposals, & perform customer presentations
- Support deployment of solution
- Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation & information sharing
- Stay abreast of on new technology/technical areas & share information about solution to enable customer competence build

CORE COMPETENCES:

- Have hands on experience in building IT data centers (Construction and Building |Services)
- Have extensive knowledge in the components of data centre infrastructure and how these components can be brought together.
- Have experioence in managing, controlling and negotiating third party contracts.
- Understand the concept of Data centre centralisation, virtualisation and Cloud Systems.
- Be able to travel internationally with short notice in line with business requirements.
- Be fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Demonstrate experience in services for complex IP and/or Core systems in customer environments.
- Demonstrate advanced skills in communicating, leading, influencing, building networks and relationships, presenting, coordinating, planning and delivering results.
- Have experience of working with Enterprise Data Centre Providers/Operators or Telecommunication Providers
- Be able to demonstrate their experience of working effectively under pressure, across multiple cultures and complex environments
- Demonstrate competence in working independently as well as part of a team
- Hold a degree in Engineering/ICT as a minimum (or equivalent).
