Data Centre Engineer - London - Contract - £19 p/h

Cabling Engineer (copper/coaxial/fibre cabling) - Canary Wharf, London

Offering £16-19 p/h dependent on depth of skills & experience/estimated 3-4 week contract

A highly successful international technology company has an opportunity for a cabling engineer to join them on an estimated 3-4 week contract at their Canary Wharf Data Centre.

To be considered you MUST be able to interview flexibly and commence a new contract with no more than 1 weeks' notice.

Working in a high availability data storage and connectivity environment, which operates 24/7, you will be expected to work shifts along with the rest of the team on a rota basis.

The position will include all of the below elements:

* Carry out customer rack & suite builds according to specifications
* Install customer's equipment & cable installations according to specification
* Build customer data centre suite solutions according to specifications
* Monitor & maintain LAN extension service between sites
* Receive requests from customers to check & diagnose equipment & connectivity
* Work closely with customers to implement solutions
* Carry out media/back up tape changes
* Monitor & check plant & equipment & escalate problems to ensure continued provision of service

You will have regular interaction with clients, so excellent communication and organisation skills are essential.

This is contract role for an estimated 3-4 weeks and offering between £16-19 per hour.
