Data Center Technician - Infrastructure/Server Specialist

You are a hands-on technician with a background in data centres/infrastructure environments from a hardware point of view.

You are not scared of getting down and dirty: cabling, setting up Racks and Stacks for Servers, doing the odd shift work to allow the users not to be affected by changes

You enjoy troubleshooting and reconfiguring Servers

You are comfortable working in a data centre with over 10'000 Servers to be looked after within a small team

You like to evaluate, plan and integrate technical infrastructure solutions

WHAT YOU BRING:

- Prior data centre experience, preferably in a large scale business environment
- ServiceNow plus Microsoft Office products knowledge
- Cabling and Server installation experience
- H&S (health and safety knowledge)
- Sensitivity to the security and risks involved in installing, commissioning and decommissioning Servers
- Willingness to work shift patterns when necessary
- Prior experience with SPA (Strategic Platform Adoption)

This is an additional resource to an existing small team of around 5 people to help support the SPA environment in the data centre. English language is sufficient, although a preference to local German speaking candidates will be given.
