Data Center Engineer - Data Centre Technician - Hardware Installation & Support - Cabling - Brussels - Belgium
My client is urgently seeking an data centre technician/Data Center Engineer with extensive experience of hardware installation and cabling for an initial 6 month contract covering both night and day shifts (rotating shift pattern) in Brussels.
Previous experience of Unix and HP Blade Servers is essential, alongside excellent hardware/cabling experience and good all round hands on technical IT experience.
Job requirements include:
*Demonstrable Experience of working within a Data Center/Data Centre environment
*Server maintenance & installation,
*Developing procedures for server installation,
*logging data regarding installed corporate server base,
*Racking/un-racking/decommissioning hardware, CAT5 cabling and cable patching from server through to server farm Switches.
*You will also be required to manage backup media, look after hardware/software, 3rd party supplier management.
*This contract post is for a rotating shift pattern covering nights and days approximately 8 hours per shift.
*Fluent English language skills is essential.
