DATA CENTER TECH UNIVERSAL CITY, CA 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Our very high-visibility client is in need of a Data Center Facility Tech. THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION, 11:00 PM TO 7:30 AM.

DATA CENTER FACILITY MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING (MEP) INFRASTRUCTURE

- Ensure Facility is kept clean and organized in accordance with industry-accepted health and safety requirements
- Liaise/lead/assist with Client Building Facilities Departments on outage/incident management and problem management
- Perform vendor/customer escorting associated with outage resolution, maintenance, or moves, adds and changes
- Perform daily plant power and thermal readings using facility established monitoring equipment and report on findings
- Perform and/or oversee vendors personnel on general maintenance of systems
- Establish or accept outage tickets from IT Operations Center and Facilities departments related to infrastructure MEP problems
- Perform Incident and Problem Management associated with infrastructure MEP including but not limited to:
- CRAC Units, UPSs, PDUs
- DATA CENTER IT EQUIPMENT (SERVERS, STORAGE, NETWORK)
- Establish or accept General Request tickets related to equipment project management (Moves/Adds/Changes)
- Set up/install/remove server, storage and network equipment cabling, ensuring all industry-wide standards are met
- Make, test, and run cables (as required)
- Rack and stack hardware in accordance with Industry/Client Standards
- Ensure proper documentation/tracking of facility assets via physical labeling and inventory tracking via tracking tool in accordance with industry/client standards
- Perform equipment audits on set intervals to ensure accuracy of asset documentation
- Perform physical inspections of equipment on set intervals for proactive remediation (ie identify and report on equipment single-threaded power, "red lights on equipment, non-remote (ILO) connectivity)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Must have A+ certification
- Must have Network+ certification.
- Must have vehicle and valid Driver's License to access site locations in Universal City and surrounding LA area
