Data Center Project Manager Job

DATA CENTER PROJECT MANAGER needed for a 6 MONTHS + CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY with Yoh's FINANCIAL SERVICES CLIENT located in SAN DIEGO, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The DATA CENTER PROJECT MANAGER is responsible for projects involving Data center support or requiring coordination with other IT service departments and/or business units.
- Position will play a key role in the development life cycle including working with the development team through inception and elaboration.
- Act as lead DATA CENTER PROJECT MANAGER responsible for collecting requirements, analysing solutions, developing project plans, required procedures and associated documentation, and maintaining project budgets for assigned projects.
- Will work with development, testing and business teams throughout the development life cycle.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Six to nine (6-9) years experience in Project Management or similar experience.
- Six (6+) years experience leading technical and non-technical resources.
- Experience assisting teams with identification of action items, tasks and activities and tracking progress.
- Experience at defining, implementing and continually improving standards, processes and procedures utilizing industry best practice (PMI, CMMI, etc.).
- Experience in successfully working within a Matrix organization structure.
- Experience with risk management or as a risk manager.
- Experience developing project budgets based on the development of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and a 3 point estimation process preferred.
- Experience for identifying and tracking financial triggers for invoicing preferred.
