Data Center Disaster Recovery Expert (UNIX, Middleware, Windows, Release Management, DCM)

Calling all Data Center Recovery Experts!

I have a very exciting opportunity for a Data Center Disaster Recovery Expert to come on-board a huge International Financial Services company based in Brussels.

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for a set of applications and infrastructure move towards a new Data Center.

Within Financial Services, it is imperative that continuity of services is ensured, and you will be part of a team that is responsible for the set-up of exercises to prove that the company is equipped in case a failure in a data center occurs.

It is essential that the candidate has the following knowledge/experience:

Fluent/or very good with English, Dutch and French languages
-

A Bachelor/Masters degree or equivalent by experience
-

Demonstrable generic IT experience (development and infrastructure) within the banking industry
-

Business experience with Bank products
-

Project Coordination in an infrastructure context

It would be preferable to have Bank-application knowledge, but not essential.

Required Technical Experience:

-

Generic knowledge of Mainframe, Middleware, Unix, Windows. Detailed knowledge of Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) OR Release Management OR Datacenter Move (DCM) OR Networking

Telecom and External connections experience (ie hosting, remote work, storage)

It would also be preferable to have experience of Technical Architecture and Physical Architecture, however it is not an essential requirement.
