Data Center Delivery Manager

This individual would need to interpret the needs of our IT Business Partners and apply industry design and management best practices for establishing a stable and efficient hosting platform. In addition, this candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and implementing infrastructure technology and processes with our strategic suppliers that ensure operational excellence and reduce cost while still meeting the business needs of our IT Business Partners.

The Data Center Hosting Service Delivery Manager is responsible for ensuring that server, storage, and network needs are architected and managed by our suppliers for reliable, scalable, and performance based operations throughout our Global Data Center footprint. The Hosting Service Delivery Manager is responsible for understanding industry standards and best practices to best ensure modern infrastructure uptime and performance. Keep current with industry trends and emerging technologies across the entire hosting infrastructure stack. Provide recommendation to our supplier on architecture and operational areas of improvement. Heavy dependency on implementing improving operational excellence, identify areas of improvement/cost savings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interact with internal and external technical leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of our global application support teams with respect to availability, functionality, performance, reliability, repeatability, and scalability.
Ensure 24/7 operation availability of our Global hosting platform to all areas of the world.
Articulate and mediate tradeoffs related to scalability, manageability, testability, security, maintainability, usability, functionality, cost, and time. Establishes criteria for measuring these items in development and production as they relate to infrastructure components.
Introduce new technologies that help reduce cost while improving time to deliver
Deliver and support designs that meet business requirements and the needs of our financial application support teams.
Participate in development of architectural strategy, including technology standardization and modernization.
Develop and support multi-year capability and technology road maps.
Develop design standards and guidelines around referential infrastructure to support heavy use of virtualization, and mentor other SDM's and engineers on best practices.
Continually monitor and engage with internal and external consumers of our shared technology foundations.
Align operational strategy with business objectives and architectural principles.
Significant focus on managing and improving operational processes to continually improve operational excellence with our strategic suppliers
Communicates well with team members to earn trust, persuade, motivate, and mentor
Multi-task multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressured environment.
24x7x365 Global operations, must be willing to be available for out of hours work.

SKILLS:

MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail.
Managing resources and services through an IT outsourcer (ITO)/Managed Service Provider (MSP)
Understanding of Compute, Storage, Network, and Virtualization in Global Data Centers.
Conceptual and operational experience with VMWare Virtualization suite.
ITIL Foundation Certified
Experience with automation and orchestration tools and concepts repeatable deployments.
Rich experience with private and public cloud solutions and industry trends
Strong rapport and relationship building skills with both internal departments and external suppliers
Strong background on successful execution of ITIL disciplines to improve operational excellence. (Incident, Problem, Change, Escape Defect, Release Management)
Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
Able to take a creative approach to situations and problem solving.
Understanding of IT industry working practices/methodologies.
Comfortable with Infrastructure Management, Architecture, and Operations.
Should be comfortable speaking with associates at all levels.
