Data Architect Contract (SQL, R, Cassandra, Hadoop, Kafka)

Job Description

This is a newly created opening for an experience Data Architect with expertise in areas such as non-relational databases, Object Orientated programming and the field of Big Data to take up a new and exciting position designing and implementing out new Big data platform

This is a contract position for six months with the potential to be entend for two years in six month stages.

As a company our portfolio includes software for function and software development, testing, validation, measurement and calibration.

Once in the position of Data Architect Contract (SQL, R, Cassandra, Hadoop, Kafka, Storm Hive) your responsibilities would include but would not be limited to areas such as:

- Using a variety of tools and technologies to construct reports and analyst of Real Time data for various clients tailor to their specific needs.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of services in the field Big Data development.
- The preparation, management and analysis of Big Data in Automotive measurement and calibration
- The Technical responsibility to help shape the orientation of Big Data content.
- Development of concepts for optimization of existing structures and processes as well as data quality through strategic partnerships.
- Closely working with other developers, architects, product managers within our company structure and with our relevant partners.

Candidates for this position Data Architect - Contract - (SQL, R, Cassandra, Hadoop, Kafka, Storm Hive) should have the following experience:

- A Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, cybernetics, physics, mathematics or comparable degree course.
- 2-3 years of professional experience in software development (algorithm development, software architecture, etc)
- Recent Practical working knowledge of SQL is desirable.
- Practical experience working with technologies such as Storm, Kafka, Cassandra and other non-relational databases.
- A strong level of knowledge with Object Orientated programming - Javascript, python, C# and other languages
- 2-3 years of practical experience with relational and non-relational databases - MongoDB, Hive, Hbase
- Experience with Hadoop technologies is also required.
- Interest in new Big Data technologies and their practical uses within the work environment.
- High willingness to learn and motivation
- Candidates must be able to work and travel within Germany and the EU without restrictions
- A strong level of German language is required - C1 level or above
- A good level of English is also required - B1 level or above
