Data Architect - Contract - Global Company

Our client is a Global Company operating in Kildare. They currently seek a Data Modeller to join their team, working at their Manufacturing facility in Leixlip. This is a key role within our client's organisation to ensure data assets are supported by Enterprise Data Architecture in achieving its strategic goals.

Effectively work across organizations to drive appropriate business/IT solutions; view alternatives from an end-to-end perspective and understand the broader implications of technical and business related choices.

YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible in translating business requirements into conceptual, logical and physical data model.
- Assist with the development and enforcement data modelling standards.
- Assist with development of "Kimball" methodology driven end to end Data Marts
- Serve as an expert data modeler overseeing and promoting adaption to Enterprise Data Architecture Principles across the team.
- Serve as an expert ETL Architect overseeing and promoting adaption to Enterprise Data Architecture Principles across the team.
- Engage with business partners to understand functional requirements to design best possible global solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experienced data architect with broad understanding of all components in a large applications and complex data solutions
- Knowledge of Datawarehouse architecture principles, patterns and methodologies and demonstrate expertise in a variety of technology concepts (Kimball preferred)
- Strong data modelling and database experience
- Knowledge of Relational Database concepts and SQL
- Knowledge of new technologies, Vertica, Cassandra
