Data Architect - Compliance

We (Ortecha) are a consultancy specialising in Data Architecture.

We are looking for a data architect to work with us at a Tier 1 Investment Bank to deliver strategic enterprise data models in the Compliance domain, covering the following areas:

- Regulatory
- Market Surveillance
- Employee Surveillance
- Anti Money Laundering & Bribery
- Control Room
- Fraud

You will join an existing client data team in New York and work with guidance from our Ortecha consultants in the UK who are currently delivering data architecture projects in the areas of Risk and Trade Data amongst others for the same client.

The key deliverables are Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) by domain and the mappings/data lineage between each of the enterprise data models.

Required skills/experience:

- Expert in Logical Datamodelling of Compliance data
- Experience and knowledge of financial services/banking data.
- Ability to illicit and understand data requirements from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), model those requirements, and agree your understanding with the SMEs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. You will liaise with many different groups and teams so you must be a good communicator.
- You must be highly professional, able to work autonomously and be focused on delivering high quality output.

Advantageous skills/experience:

- Experience with enterprise Datamodelling, rather than solution/system/application Datamodelling.  The mindset and approach is different so experience here is useful but not essential.
- Knowledge of DAMA DMBOK.
- Experience of SAP (formerly Sybase) PowerDesigner, Sparx EnterpriseArchitect.
