Data Architect

They are currently looking for a seasoned Data Architect to work on a strategic initiative. This person must be a top-level contributor specializing in the design and development of models for complex data warehousing and analytical systems. The candidate needs to understand the emerging technologies in Hadoop space for the building of big data warehouse and advanced analytics. The candidate also needs to have solid prior experience in traditional data warehousing project using RBMS or Teradata.

Candidate should possess the following skills, traits, and experience:

- Building data models, analysing/monitoring system data quality, maintaining metadata and enforcing naming standards
- Assisting with Business cases and documenting business processes, flow charts & diagrams
- Coordination with the business community and application development to analyze business requirements and develop information models and metadata that contribute to the data architecture
- Ability to perform analytical review of data
- Clear understanding of Online Transaction processing (OLTP) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) in a Data Warehousing environment
- Full life cycle experience on large/complex enterprise projects
- Ability to think outside the box and to see the big picture
- Previous experience in retail industry, customer management, store operations and merchandising
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and attention to detail skills
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and easily (is flexible)
- Ability to multi-task assignments
- Self-motivated and have imitative
