Data Architect

Our direct client in the financial services industry is in need of an Data Architect for a long-term contract at their location in Warren, NJ.

You will be responsible for:
- Champion data as a strategic business asset with innovative approaches to data sharing, data management that practical, feasible, and sensitive to the IT pressures of cost containment.
- Define strategies at the enterprise or BU level that improve data integration, data quality, and data delivery for Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Metadata Management, etc.
- Define MDM strategies and design solutions at the enterprise or BU levels to support Customer, Location, Product, etc.
- Lead efforts to create and institutionalize the use of standard methodologies, templates, artifacts and processes supporting the client's Information Architecture objectives and governance processes
- Participate in data architecture design and review processes at enterprise, BU, or application level to ensure the effectiveness of design and adherence to EA policies, compliance and best practices

Required:

- 10+ years of information management and/or data warehousing experience within the P&C industry
- Depth & breadth of competency in many aspects of EIA and information management
- Implementation of complex large scale information centric business solutions
- Demonstrated leadership in developing and implementing enterprise information architecture roadmaps that can be implemented incrementally,
- Demonstrated ability to work across all levels of the organization to influence decisions regarding information strategies
- Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively lead change, and communicate with business and IT staff
- The ability to embrace change, adapt to the unexpected, and focus energies, people, and solutions on practical and positive results
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Information Management
- Data Warehousing or Information Management certifications a plus
