Data Architect

The role of the data architect is to provide technical data architecture expertise, vision, direction and assistance across a wide spectrum of data centric technologies and environments with a specific focus in data architecture across the wealth & investment management division. The role holder will engage across project teams, vendors and other stakeholders to ensure business projects and data models/designs are delivered in line with the agreed enterprise data architecture policies, principles and standards.

The role will focus on the UK Private Bank data landscape, to ensure that the production architecture is aligned to the transitional and target data architectures defined. The data flows and system data dependencies across key client systems will also be documented.

The role will build upon the existing Enterprise Data Model to delivery an integrated data architecture target across key UK PB systems to ensure that changes to production data assets have minimal service impact and optimise data use.

Professional/technical experience:
the right candidate will have significant experience of delivering high quality enterprise data architecture solutions in complex international organisations, preferably within the financial services or investment management sectors, with regular interaction with senior executives.

Candidates will be able to demonstrate proven depth in developing and maintaining enterprise data models, roadmaps, frameworks, policies and principles. Candidates will have a proven track record of delivering data and technology solutions to business needs and projects, and be comfortable delivering within an SOA and file/batch technical environment. To quickly apply a combination of technical and commercial thinking as part of their day to day role.
