The purpose of this role within the Enterprise Data Architecture team is to enable and support our client's Software License Management Programme which is creating a single automated repository holding accurate information about their global position with regards to use of licensed products (software or hardware) as well as the people and business process around it. We are looking for a data architect that can face off to the business analyst, solution architect and the segment lead data architect - working on identifying data requirements, identifying gaps and providing direction to close the gap. The data architect will need to work with the Solution Architect on the Data Design, and deliver the Data Deliverables conforming to the business requirements. This is a challenging role within a complex new Shell programme.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Working with the Enterprise Data Architect responsible for IT4IT and the Business Data Definition Owners, deliver the Conceptual and Logical models for priority areas
2. Working with the Enterprise Data Architect responsible for IT4IT, the Project Solution Architect and the Projects Business Analysts deliver the Application Logical model The above 2 activities will have to be executed in sequence or in parallel on multiple subject areas. Available models and documentation will be the starting point for all work, adhering to standards.

2. Developing in depth Business & Data knowledge in a complex environment (business and IT)

Domestic Travel Required: 25%

Technical Skills and Experience:
1. E-R Datamodelling mandatory. Relational more than dimensional. Knowledge of Systems Architect strongly desired.
2. Knowledge of Software Licensing processes and experience and background in software license management is preferred.

Soft Skills and Experience:
1. Proven leadership & negotiating skills and ability to drive change using influence and networking.
2. Deliverable-oriented with focus on results. Doer/Hands-on attitude.
3. Experience in a multi-disciplined IT environment with strong expertise in Data Analysis and Modelling.
4. Organised and methodical. Ability to initiate, plan and develop according to plan thou coping with a level of uncertainty and risk
5. Rigorous, thorough and with a taste for detail.
