Context:

The Product and Technology group is in charge of developing the company's Global Information Systems and maintaining them aligned with company's business needs.

Within this group the Data and Analytics pillar provides the function of Enterprise Data Warehouse, Business Analytics, Data services and Data Management user interfaces.

After some first successful Agile initiatives we decided to extend our Agile practice to all the Data and Analytics projects and we are currently recruiting the team that will make this happen.

We support two major and many minor projects that are focused on the use of data for things like reporting, business analytics, business insights, data services, revenue management, big data, etc.

The scrum master we are looking for will be in charge of a team of around 15 people, organized in Scrums and dispersed geographically in many locations.

Responsibilities:

- Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
- Facilitating the team meetings (daily stand-up, backlog grooming, sprint and release planning) to allow for predictable performance from the team.
- Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments.
- Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
- Leading the update of the team status within the corporate Agile tool (Rally) and the reporting processes of the organization.
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency and information flow within and external to the team.
- Guiding team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to provide value to Product Owners
- Guiding the team on how to get the most out of their self organization
- Assessing the maturity of the scrum team and coaching them to achieve higher levels of maturity, in concert with the other teams on the overall project and at a sustainable pace.
- Building a trusting environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or retribution while instilling an attitude of mutual accountability within the organization and between the team and the customer.
- Supporting and educating the product owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
- Working with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization

- Strong analytical, human relations, organizational and communication skills in a Global environment are essential
- Must have excellent problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects
- Able to present the development team as well as our products in a positive and professional manner
- Enthusiastic about learning new technical skills and tools

Technical skills:

- English fluent: written and oral
- Abilities to deal within a multicultural and distributed environment (ability to communicate effectively in a conference call setting).
- Scrum Mastering
- Ability to moderate conference calls
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Agile collaboration suite (Rally, JIRA or equivalent)
- Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence platform (IBM Cognos, Informatica, Oracle Exadata)
- Web/UI platform (Java/JS/Angular)
- Service and ticketing management tool (ServiceNow or Equivalent)

Experience:

- Bachelor or Masters of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Experience as a Scrum Master for at least one year for a software development team that diligently applied Agile principles, practices, and theories. Preferably on some Business Intelligence and Enterprise Data Warehousing projects.
- Multi-cultural experience on geographically distributed projects
- Travel Industry related experience is a plus
- Financial projects experience is a plus
- Advanced Analytics and Big Data experience is a plus
