ROLE - Data Analyst - Web Analytics

LOCATION - Northampton

MAIN FUNCTION OF THE JOB

- To co-ordinate all Web & Digital Analytics & reporting for the Design & Digital Office performance & functional reporting requirements.
- To specify, collect and present web & digital analytics & reporting for the wider Design & Digital Office
- Ensure Web Analytics Governance & Data quality to support the Business achieve the following objectives:
- Increase traffic and visitor engagement
- Sell more, spend less of the marketing budget
- Optimise all customer journeys
- Apply specialist analytics where needed
- Focus business/marketing staff on delivery and insights, not data management

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DIGITAL ANALYTICS GOVERNANCE

- Regular maintenance of analytics via a Tag Management System
- Active agency management and enforcement of governance model across business and agencies
- Creating & maintaining knowledge hub for all MI
- Ensure the high quality of Digital performance data.
- Identify delivery obstacles to improving Digital strategy MI and work with relevant teams to overcome those obstacles.
- Responsible for deriving continuous value from in-house Web Analytics tools
- Work closely with other group wide management information and reporting teams to accelerate and maintain skills level, particularly the development of professional change skill-sets
- Support colleagues to develop the use and adoption of Digital analytics and MI

DIGITAL ANALYTICS DELIVERY - PROJECT MANAGEMENT

- Responsible for supporting the analytic needs of the Digital channels by:
- Providing Tag Management expertise
- Supporting the Testing phases - Build test cases, ensure conformance to requirements etc.
- Liaising, co-coordinating and managing 3rd party agencies responsible for web analytics provision and tag management.
- Manage on-going Barclaycard Design & Digital Office and partner analytics, working in conjunction with key stakeholder and MI teams across the wider Group and data planner to develop SLAs for the delivery of analytics and ensure that, when in place, reporting and analysis meets these SLAs
- Initiate and produce in evaluation of Digital performance metrics to determine progress towards strategic and performance objectives, and to determine whether the current metrics are still relevant. Compile and deliver consolidated dashboards into Digital performance and strategy frameworks
- Presenting externally to clients and build relationships directly with counterparts within client's analytical departments
- Ensure analysis is delivered to time and to expectations
- Gathering requirements from business teams such as Marketing and Acquisition
- Translating them into effective solutions independently or using 3rd party agencies for web data collection,
- Integrating this data generated by web tools into centralized MI repository
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to optimise the process
- Ensuring maximum value is derived from investment in web analytics by providing training to promote greater value for customers from the MI provision

PERSON REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE

Essential:

- Strong expertise in MS Excel to be able to produce effective MI reporting & translating into PowerPoint presentations
- Experience using web analytics tools
- Experience in the collation of raw data, production of MI & reporting in relation to performance reporting
- Influencing/networking - developing internal & external business relationships & using own knowledge, skills & experience to influence others opinions & actions
- Experience in professional communications, both written & face to face
- Experience in a professional project environment or portfolio office/Matrix management structure
- Experience in Enterprise Content Management and Media Optimisation
