Data Analyst (SQL)

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a DATA ANALYST to join our client in Wilmington, DE.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for designing, modelling, developing and supporting Database Management Systems (DBMS).
- Analyzes data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schema(s), and then designs, develops, amends, optimizes, and certifies database schema design to meet system(s) requirements.
- Gathers, analyzes, and normalizes relevant information related to, and from business processes, functions, and operations to evaluate data credibility and determine relevance and meaning.
- Develops database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing environments.
- Develops an overall data architecture that supports the information needs of the business in a flexible but secure environment.
- Provide assistance in the data migration from a current litigation management system to a new solution.
- Analyze referential integrity issues in current application data and devise programmatic and user-driven cleanup strategies.
- Assist in the rebuilding of the reporting data repository which is used for the generation of reports related to this system.
- Identify and analyze referential integrity issues and devise queries and strategies to "clean up" as much of the data as can be programmatically cleaned.
- Work with super users to prepare strategies and methods to facilitate manual cleanup of data.
- Assist in the mapping of data in the current system to the future systems.
- Assist in the re-designing of the in-house data mart that currently imports data from the current system to one that accepts and manages data from the future system.
- Assist in the redesigning of existing in-house reports so that they retrieve data based on the new data structure.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):
- Three plus (3+) years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008 is required, including: Writing complex SQL statements that both select data and for data modification.
- Experience writing stored procedures.
- Data modelling and design experience.
