Data Analyst Programmer/Analyst

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a DATA ANALYST PROGRAMMER/ANALYST to join our client, a world leader in the pharmaceutical industry, located in RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage survey data resource from customer satisfaction/voice of the customer data including data cleaning, staging, loading, and reporting
- Design and support basic analysis on customer survey data including: basic aggregation, calculations, stat testing, text analysis, etc.
- Seek out new and innovative approaches for improving core processes
- Act as a key contributor with regards to appropriate use of statistical procedures, methods, and tests when evaluating initiatives
- Setup effective internal communication to ensure business partners informed and leveraging insights and advanced analysis

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Five (5) plus years of SAS programming experience with demonstrated proficiency in procedures, macros and basic data manipulation.
- At least 1 year of professional experience leveraging pharmaceutical marketing and sales databases (Wolter Kluwers, IMS, SDI, etc.) plus demonstrated analytic ability to translate synthesized data into action-orientated business recommendations
- Very comfortable with relational database structures (eg, star schema) and ETL processes
- Professional experience with cleaning and staging "dirty" data sources

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:
- MA./M.S. in statistics, computer science, economics, applied mathematics, engineering, operations research, or other quantitative decision sciences
- One to three (1-3) years of professional experience in text mining, data mining, marketing mix modelling, segmentation analysis and/or predictive modelling.
- In-depth knowledge of statistics (mixed modelling, logistical/categorical modelling, predictive models, SAS procedures: PROC reg, PROC logistic, PROC probit, PROC corr, PROC ttest, PROC anova, etc.)
