Data Analyst - Procurement and SAP

Data Analyst - Procurement and SAP required for a leading global defence company based in Reading.

The prime reporting line is to the Defence & Security Functional Lead for that workstream with additional project reporting responsibility into the Defence & Security Data Manager.

The Data Analyst role is responsible the following:-

- Establishing and understanding the data requirements for that work stream from the Legacy source systems and the mapping to the future target systems on SAP.
- Collecting and providing quality assurance for the data required by that work stream.
- Working with the appropriate stakeholders to define and agree any data that needs to be built up that cannot be transitioned from existing Legacy systems.
- Identifying what source data requires cleansing in preparation for transfer and working with the functional lead and data manager to ensure cleansing activities are undertaken. The role will be covering Organisation & Development, Finance (including Payroll), Procurement & Supply Chain and Project Management through the introduction of SAP and associated system solutions of Success Factors and Ariba supplemented by a number of bespoke applications

Security Criteria to be achieved:

- MOD SC Security clearance.
- Other security clearances as contracts demand.

Experience in the specific functional work stream discipline appropriate to the data required (examples include procurement and supply chain, organisation and development, finance and projects).

- Understanding of the business and the IT solutions supporting the delivery of the processes required.
- Desirable to have previous experience in ERP solutions (preferably SAP) supporting business change across the functional disciplines of HR (Organisation & Development), Finance, Procurement and/or Projects.
- Experience of working in a project environment.
- Experience of working in a business operational environment.
- Significant experience in the use of Microsoft Office 2010 suite of applications most particularly Excel, but also Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- To work effectively as part of a project team engaging with other data analysts and project team members across their own work stream discipline and others.
- The role requires an ability to engage actively in a proactive manner with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.
