DATA/REPORTING ANALYST needed for a ONE (1) YEAR PLUS CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY with Yoh's GOVERNMENT CLIENT located in DOWNTOWN SAN DIEGO, CA

THE BIG PICTURE:

- Strong Excel and MS Access Reporting Analyst needed to compile, analyze and present information used in public agency settings

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Expert MS Excel Skills (Formula, Macros, etc)
- Good MS Access skills
- Good reporting and analytical skills

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Data Analyst (reporting/excel/Access) will COMPILE INFORMATION from various databases INTO ONE CENTRAL SPREADSHEET; enter data and update files as required; review data for quality and accuracy and resolve data inconsistencies; maintain data documentation
- Data Analyst (reporting/excel/Access) will COMPILE NEW AND EXISTING SPREADSHEETS and update with new datasets UTILIZING EXISTING FORMULAS AND FORMATS.
- Data Analyst (reporting/excel/Access) will ANALYZE COMPLEX MICROSOFT EXCEL AND ACCESS DATA SETS; create spreadsheets and formulas; ASSIST WITH THE PREPARATION OF PROGRESS REPORTS, other special reports, and general correspondence; generate graphs, tables, queries, pivot tables, and charts to convey needed information.
- Data Analyst (reporting/excel/Access) will prepare written, oral, and visual reports for the DISCO Program; PREPARE PROFESSIONAL POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS that include animation, video, charts, and graphs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Experience in the areas of ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT AND SPECIAL PROJECTS and a good working knowledge of modern office procedures, methods, and equipment.
- KNOWLEDGE OF DATA RESOURCES AND TOOLS AND EXPERIENCE COMPILING DATA FOR LARGE, COMPLEX DATABASES, excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and the use of sound judgment are important.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications especially WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS, AND POWERPOINT; experience with Microsoft Project is desirable.
