Data Analyst II

We have an exciting future opening for a Data Analyst II position with our progressive client in the Columbia, SC area. This is a long-term contract position working on a new incoming multi-year contract!. Excellent communication skills required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

-- Reviews, extracts and analyzes data to be used in formulation of procedures, processes and other requirements. Provides reports of relevant activity to be used to identify problematic areas and to provide basis for modification and/or elimination of operations issues.
-- Assists with development of complex analysis and sophisticated data compilation, verification, and interpretations to guide divisional efforts. Performs focused analyses as needed. Creates data search programs to identify pertinent data needed to provide supporting documentation for system or operational enhancements/changes.
-- Documents reporting procedures so other staff can run ad hoc reports independently. Designs, codes, and maintains complex database programs for the extraction and analysis of data to support financial and operational decisions.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

-- Research and financial analysis experience (Required, 2 years)
-- Strong Analytical skills. This is a MUST for this position. (Required)
-- Understands databases and table relationships. (Required)
-- Able to use Excel and other queries to collect, modify and report findings. (Required)
-- Strong skills with Microsoft applications including Excel and Access. (Required)
-- Experience with LMS (Learning Management System). (Nice to Have)
