Data Analyst (FX/Capital markets) Contract Belfast.

My client a leader in their own space is in need of a talented and experienced Data Analyst to join them on a contract basis. Now this role is in the approval stage so the client hopes to get the green light on it within the next week or two, but are confidant of receiving this.

My client is looking for someone to join their Trade Surveillance and compliance group. This team allows users to monitor daily trading activity, on a Real Time basis, across all capital markets and information barriers. My client is looking at a data analyst to lead complex and in-depth analysis across multiple projects of various sizes. This role will have users work in varied areas such as Market data and patterns structure analysis; Data Mining; Algorithm generation and analysis; Statistical modelling; Machine Learning and Use of programming languages (Object Oriented, MATLAB etc).

Candidates will have ability to recordYou will also possess excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to express ideas to people from various business and technology backgrounds (essential). Successful candidates will have good understanding of Capital Markets, in particular of trading, the trade life cycle, exchanges, and market participants, across multiple asset classes and deep Product Knowledge relating to any of the financial markets, eg Equities, FX, Exchange Traded and OTC Derivatives, Commodities, Fixed Income. You will have Strong Database, SQL, and Data Mining skills (essential).
