Data Analyst- Finance

My Client is seeking a strong data analyst to improve its data management capability across the Bank. A Programme has subsequently been established to deliver the required changes across the Bank and set up the organisational capabilities required to support these going forward. The right candidate will need to develop an understanding of the current state of the data within the bank and how issues developed, potentially due to capture, system, process or maintenance problems. Understanding the existing issues will allow business cases to be developed to fix the root cause. 

Key skills/Experience:

- This role is highly challenging because of the mix of specialist content, the need to introduce new and challenging concepts into the Bank and the required engagement with Stakeholders, Bank-wide businesses and functions.
- Work with stakeholders to identify data quality issues
- Identify Root causes of issues based on data mining and analysis
- Identification of quick wins
- Support remediation planning
- SAS/SQL FOR DATA ANALYSIS
- Deep understanding of data quality and data governance
- Good understanding of Customer and UK Credit Bureaux data.
- Excellent MS Office skills, ability to use Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio and MS Project to a high standard
- Experience in defining and documenting business requirements
