Contract Term
This position closes at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13th, 2013.
This is a 3 month contract opportunity. Overview - Our Client requires is undertaking an enhancement project to the process that loads data from Roads Geographic Information Systems (GIS) repository to their Common Data Model (CDM), and from there into Tangible Capital Asset (TCA) repository. These process changes are required due to an enhancement currently underway with the Roads GIS Asset Registry, which is also driven by changes in TCA reporting requirements.
Role and Responsibilities - This initiative will require the success candidate to analyze the existing code base, document required changes, and then make the required modification to Dev/Test and Prod environments. The candidate will need to do both analysis and development tasks. The candidate will be responsible for conducting the required steps to produce all deliverables associated with the business analysis activity including:
- Weekly Status Reports to the IT Project Manager.
- Detailed Technical Design & Specification authoring.
- Updating Systems Architecture Design and Database Architecture Design.
- Management and coordination of on-site and/or off-site developers.
- Coding, testing and implementing Informatica.
Qualifications - Required Skills
- Prior experience accessing attributes stored within a versioned geodatabase.
- Proven experience with Oracle/SQL.
- Proven experience with Informatica.
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience with GIS Asset Repository.
- Previous experience with Common Data Model.
- Previous experience with TCA.
- Previous experience with Visio for data and process modelling.
- Previous work experience with Municipal, other Government Organizations or equivalent endeavors.
- Previous experience with change management processes.
