DATA ANALYST - DATA WAREHOUSE, DATA MIGRATION, SQL SERVER, INTERVIEWS NOW!
Our Large Multinational Client, based in Norway, is seeking a Data Analyst to come and join a Data Migration project. This role is based mainly on-site in Oslo/Norway. The Data Analyst will have experience in gathering business data requirements and making functional specifications for large data migrations using SQL databases, plus test.
In more detail, the Key Responsibilities for the Data Analyst are:
- Gather business data requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
- Strong analytical and product knowledge skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into detailed business data requirements.
- Conduct As-Is data analysis, document current landscape and risks/issues with potential data migration and roll out of solution.
- Understand new system To-Be target process, data sourcing, and functional capabilities within Landscape.
- Perform data sourcing gap analysis, data analysis and solutioning.
- Execute tasks on a timely basis according to a defined project work plan/project schedule.
- Act as the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
- Execute functional testing and user acceptance testing.
- Analyse and specify request for Master Data, Reference Data and Transaction Data from Source System Data Owners.
- Support the production of data mapping documents and enhance existing data migration processes.
- Design/implement new Data Assessment feedback reports and maintain/enhance existing ones.
- Strong communication and influencing skills and experience of dealing with senior stakeholders
- Providing data assessment of Master Data, review Source - Target Mappings, support Data delivery process in the Project.
The successful Data Analyst will have the following skill set:
- Senior Data Analyst with a minimum of 4 Years' experience.
- Solid experience in Data Migration projects.
- Developer/Architecture/Test background.
- Data Warehousing background.
- Knowledge of SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 from a Data Analyst standpoint.
- Source to Target data mapping experience.
- MS Office products experience, especially MS Excel, MS Word usage experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent Business level English.
START: 1 resource to start ASAP (Interviews started today), another 1st of Sept
DURATION: Until end of 2013
LOCATION: Oslo/Norway
RATE: 80 Euros/Hour all incl.
