LOCATION: Halifax
CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 Months
RATE: up to £250 per day

A leading organisation in Halifax is currently looking to take on board a number of Datamart Analysts to work on a current project to support the reporting development and testing, using Business Objects and other reporting tools.

The successful candidate will provide teams with ad hoc reports and support in all aspects of the BAU reporting process.

The position will also require the Analyst to liaise with business areas and the divisional ALM teams in relation to data migrations and the implementation of new data sources.

The following knowledge, skills and experience are desirable for the performance of this role:

* A good understanding of Business Objects from a business user perspective. Having the ability to amend existing, and create new reports with an understanding of any Universe changes that are required.

* A good understanding of the use of SQL to write ad-hoc queries for analysis, report testing and report development purposes.

* Effective communication skills with the ability to build relationships with the business areas and influence decisions around areas affecting the ALM Datamart and reporting.

* Ability to analyse large quantities of data and produce statistical analysis of the results. A sound knowledge of the use of Excel and Access would be an advantage.
