Data Analyst

They are currently seeking a Data Analyst to join their team.

Position Summary:
Role focuses on daily review and reconciliation of incoming and outgoing batch files used to facilitate the loyalty (reward) points earnings for clients. On a daily basis, the candidate will be responsible for monitoring Hyperion reports related to file handling and reward point calculations and will be instrumental in identifying issues; helping to define metrics; validating data; and shaping our development roadmap.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Use analytical skills to review, interpret and take action on a variety of daily reports related to the processing of client rewards
- Analyze daily reconciliation reports
- Review exception items and ensure the appropriate procedures are in place to handle all exception types
- Develop processes to track and manage various file routing, and reconciliation issues
- Partner with teams to create or refine development roadmap for file validation, exception handling and threshold monitoring
- Work closely with Processing Reliability team to build automated solutions to support the end to end reconciliation process
- Conduct analysis of data integrity issues
- Work with internal stakeholders, clients and vendors to resolve complex file and reconciliation issues
- Participate in daily stand up meetings and identify issues related to file reconciliation

Minimum Qualifications:

- Typically Minimum 4 Years Relevant Experience
- Analytical thinker with outstanding problem solving skills
- Self-motivated
- Team Player
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Ability to work as an individual contributor, while partnering with various teams in a matrixed organization

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience using Hyperion or other reporting solutions
- Knowledge of loyalty rewards liability management and reconciliation
- Experience with redemption fulfillment and fraud management
- Credit card issuing or processing experience
- Basic knowledge of EBCIDC/ASCII formats
- Familiarity with Oracle databases
- Knowledge of loyalty rewards liability management and reconciliation
- Experience with rewards and redemption fulfillment (merchandise, gift cards, travel, etc) and related cost-per-point risk and fraud management

Educational Requirement:

- Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field; or equivalent training or experience in lieu of degree
- Four year college degree and four or more years professional experience or high school diploma or equivalent with six or more years professional experience is required
