Data Analyst

£68.60 PER DAY PAYE

FULL TIME - 37 HOURS PER WEEK

SOUTHEND-ON-SEA, ESSEX

TEMPORARY CONTRACT UNTIL 28TH MARCH 2014

A Data analyst is required to work within the Children & Learning department of Southend Borough Council. The ideal candidate will have a mathematical interest with proven knowledge and experience of working with business information/intelligence systems.

You will have advanced knowledge of and good experience of working with Microsoft Products including Excel and Access. Knowledge of writing queries in Access and building reports in Access is vital. Knowledge and understanding of Visual Basics (or VBA) would be a distinct advantage and advance knowldege of Excel is a prerequisite .

The successful candidate will be able apply reasoning and explain complex results in a simply way by drawing effective conclusions enabling efficient performance management across a variety of areas within the department.
