Data Analyst

Yoh has an immediate contract opportunity for a DATA ANALYST to join our client in Wilmington, DE.

JOB OVERVIEW:

This is not an IT-specific role. As part of the business, this individual would be responsible for supporting the Company's Analytical Environment and ensuring data integrity. Manages relationships with IT and business partners. Ensures data is clean and credible to support strategic decision making. Identifies data integrity issues in systems and creates processes or audits to address data issues. Individual will alert IT to issues in the data environment and partners with them to implement break-fixes and enhancements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Production Support - Identify issues, review errors, approve resolution, and advise of potential downstream impacts.
- Develop solutions to respond to business needs.
- Maintain relationships with IT and Business.
- Monitor Bank Environments and run defined Data Quality Checks.
- Database Compliance - Partner with Information Technology Risk Office (ITRO) and other groups to identify and remediate Database Compliance issues.
- Database and Application Security.
- Develop and shape technical strategies that provide business process improvement and ensure scalability.
- First line support for Business Users and Analysts including mailbox support, researching questions and maintaining web-based knowledge base.

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Very strong knowledge of Excel and some Data Warehousing experience (familiarity with SQL).
- Very strong Written and Verbal skills.
- Previous experience working in a Production Support/Customer Service type environment.
- Must have Excellent Written and Verbal Communication and Coordination skills.
- Four (4) + years of experience in Data Warehousing, Data Analysis, BI, or Data Management.
- Two (2) + years of experience using Excel, must have significant experience creating and revising spreadsheets.
- Two (2) + years of experience in Structured Query Language (SQL) with large databases.
- Ability to work in a fast changing team environment focused on improving processes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Teradata/DB2.
- Business Objects.
- Project Management or Project Coordination.
