DATA ANALYST

JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: 

The Data Analyst will be responsible for managing various tracks cases within the Consumer Profiles and Preferences (PnP) Project - including: performing data assessment/profiling, data quality activities, data validation, source-to-target mappings, developing data migration, integration requirements and test cases  

RESPONSIBILITIES : 

- Research data in source systems and document current state to allow for mapping and possible integration into the Consumer Profiles and Preferences Repository. 
- Have the ability to analyze data in source applications to determine data migration/integration complexity, to identify data gaps against new requirements or conflicts across multiple source applications. 
-  Develop source-to-target mapping documents by analysing data content and physical data structures in the source and Consumer PnP repository. Develop mappings to enable data migration and application integration.
- Participate in test script development and execution to verify fidelity of data movement
- Support application go-live with a focus on data readiness during integration/migration and post production period. 
- Conduct sessions with both Business and IT partners to gather and document requirements using process flows, use cases, interviews, workshops, and investigation of current state (existing systems and/or processes). Ability to clearly communicate with both Business and IT partners .  

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:   

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or information systems, or 3-5 years related data analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 
- Five or more years of strong analytical and problem solving skills, data analysis and Datamodelling 
- Past project experience with integration technologies (eg ETL), data migration, and packaged applications 
- Ability to rapidly understand business requirements, communicate business expectations to cross-functional development teams, document analysis findings that can be easily understood by the business AND technical and teams 
- Ability to clearly communicate with both Business and IT partners to gather and document requirements using process flows, use cases, interviews, workshops, and investigation of current state (existing systems and/or processes) 
- Ability to assemble, analyze and evaluate data and to be able to make appropriate and well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to the Business stakeholders and the Project team 
- Experience with data quality assessment, cleansing, and improvement efforts 
- Experience with data profiling or cleansing tools 
- Effective communication and writing skills. 
- Skill with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, PPT 

Preferred Qualifications: 

- Strong knowledge and working experience with SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, various reporting solutions 
- Health Care Systems Experience 
- Microsoft Dynamics or Microsoft CRM Experience
