Data Analyst

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a DATA ANALYST III to join our client in San Jose, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Analyst will lead the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analysis and dashboards, identifying KPIs to drive key business decisions.
- Data Analyst will interface with engineers, product managers and product analysts to understand data, reporting and analytical needs.
- Data analyst will drive sessions with business users to translate requirements and needs of various businesses.
- Analyze web traffic and site behavior using web analytics tool for customer and business insights, leading to actions (marketing, site usability, etc.) to deliver on improved customer site experience or business growth (sales, traffic and conversion).
- Data Analyst will work closely with BI and business colleagues to improve operations through the appropriate use of BI platforms and information collected through dashboards and reports.
- Explore and recommend emerging technologies and techniques to support/enhance BI landscape components.
- Build rich and dynamic dashboards using out-of-box features, customizations, and visualizations.
- Automate solutions where appropriate.
- Experience with data quality/integrity.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Business Administration, or closely-related.
- Extensive experience with at least one or more analytical tools supporting data analysis and reporting (MicroStrategy, Tableau, Qlikview etc.).
- Able to "tell the story", not just present.
- Expert level skills in building custom reports and dashboards with BI tools, with preference given to candidates with Tableau experience.
- Expert level ability to analyze data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to identify and communicate data driven insights.
- Ability to write efficient SQL statements.

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- Skill in Oracle RDBMS (SQL/PLSQL), MySQL, and OLAP is a plus.
