Cyber Security IT Analyst Job

CYBER SECURITY IT ANALYST needed for a long-term contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in New Hill, NC.

Please note that this position does not allow for working remotely, as such the incumbent must be able to work onsite in client's New Hill, NC location.
Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Vulnerability assessment exp.
- Desktop/Server Security tools
- Strong verbal/written communication skills.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Vulnerability assessment of digital systems and components
- Installation, configuration and monitoring of network and component intrusion prevention systems
- Incident response to cyber events
- Development and maintenance of cyber security documentation to ensure integrity of computer systems and conformance with the HNP Operating License, Technical Specifications and the Duke Energy Quality Assurance Program
- Assist digital design engineers with plant modifications
- Provide support to Nuclear Generation Group initiatives as directed to support Nuclear fleet projects and initiatives for Cyber Security across NGG
- Serve as the liaison between Nuclear Engineering and Nuclear Security
- Participate in plant committed programs including Emergency Response Organization, Self-Evaluation Program and plant outages throughout the Nuclear Generation Group.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Position requires a degree in Information Technology or related program. Four (4) years of like-work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree, or combination of education and like-work experience totaling eight (8+) years.
- Technical background and familiarity with desktop and server security tools including virus management software.
- Working knowledge of networking including TCP/IP and commonly used TCP/UDP ports and associated services.
- Working knowledge of LAN technologies and topologies.
- Candidate must have a working knowledge of common operating systems such as Windows 2000, 2003, and 2008, Linux, XP, and Windows 7.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Security certification or SANS training is desirable.
- Previous nuclear experience is desirable.
