Cyber Security/Forensics Research Engineer
Contract - £350 per day

Are you an expert in cyber security and forensics research?

Our prestigious defence client is offering an amazing opportunity to work in a European recognised, state of the art Cyber Security lab.

The role will require the research engineer to work on Research and Development projects aimed at innovating cyber security and forensics technologies. The researcher will be tasked with developing prototype cyber security concepts in alignment with the clients overall strategy. It is a role where your development and thirst for knowledge in cyber security will be met and will give you the opportunity to attend exclusive research conferences on the subject. This is a once in a career opportunity to work on a contract basis for one of the leading defence companies in the world. It is very rare that you will have a chance to impact the future of cyber security and forensics and the development of defence systems.

Key responsibilities:

The role of the will also involve:

* Liaising with other internal business units and external organizations such as academic institution and government agencies on collaborative working projects.
* Providing continuity of research projects through the company's cyber incubators.
* Leading research projects that will progress the state of cyber security in the UK.

Essential Criteria required:

* Knowledge of the development and application of cyber security protocols and applications, risk assessment and attack detection.
* Experience and knowledge of technically overseeing cyber security initiatives, risk assessment or implantation of security architectures.
* Understanding systems, networking and communication technologies - ideally from a security/forensics perspective.

Desirable Criteria required:

* Masters or PHD degree in a relevant subject (Computer Science, Forensic Computing, Cyber Security, Electronic Engineering or Information System).
* Previous experience with UK government agencies.
* Knowledge and experience of big-data analytics, cyber-attack detection and malware analysis.
