Cyber Security Analyst/Engineer

On behalf of our client, a leading telecommunications organisation, we are seeking an extensively experienced Cyber Security Analyst/Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Customer liaison to build a productive and trusted working relationship between the company and the customer's Chief Information Security Officer (CISCO)and Security team
- Report back to the customer on the service, including security incidents, service levels and security posture.
- Perform the role of Service Delivery Manager for the service
- Provide security situational awareness dashboard to the customer CISO
- Collect business & technical information required by the cyber monitoring service from the customer's IT support teams, including by face to face contacts
- Build an overall knowledge of the customer's IT and network infrastructure to enable the company to understand the context of security events
- Capture of detailed technical information on log sources & data feeds to be connected to the cyber monitoring system
- Technical support of the cyber monitoring system, when on-site presence is required, including connecting & configuring new devices.
- Liaise with other personnel providing network management services to the customer.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- MUST HAVE: 5 YEARS OF WORKING EXPERIENCE IN SECURITY CONSULTANCY OR SECURITY ARCHITECT ROLE
- Extensive IT and data network experience with a proven track record in security.
- Extensive experience of stakeholder management and influencing skills gained at a senior level.
- Customer facing skills
- Ability to act independently
- Ability to analyse problems & situations & produce solutions
- All round security knowledge
- Knowledge of cyber monitoring
- Knowledge of logging systems
- Ability to become an expert in ArcSight
- Knowledge of Intrusion Detection System
- Ability to become an expert in HP Tipping Point IDS
- Hands-on capability to provide hands-on technical support in the data centre
- General hands-on technical diagnostic skills
- Project management skills
- ABILITY TO CONVERSE AND WRITE FLUENTLY IN ENGLISH - GERMAN IS AN ADVANTAGE
- Industry specific qualifications such as CISSP, CISM and CISA
