Our client a global pharmaceutical organisation are looking for a Customs and Trade Manager based in Basel as a 6 months contract.
The candidate will be responsible for managing global trade compliance programs, monitor using internal contracts, assess whether the re-audit on high risk countries are necessary.
Ensure the corrective actions and recommendations are monitored and closed; the status report of the project is up-to-date; and the closure of the implementation is performed.
Establish global guidelines on processes around classification (importDuty savings opportunities, licensing, technical data, recordkeeping, 3rd party compliance management (customs brokers, agents etc.) and auditing/reporting to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls
Experience Required
Minimum 5 years' experience in role with global responsibility in multi-national industry or minimum 10 years' experience in operational customs and trade role with local or regional responsibility in EU, North America, Asia etc. Preferably in Health Care, Consumer Goods. Chemical or other process industry.
Project Management experience is required
Fluent English is mandatory
