Customer Liaison Officer

Chelmsford

£28,500 - £50,400 per annum

24 month Fixed Term Contract

Full-time: 37 hours per week

In the Council's drive to deliver its ambitious transformation phase 2 plans, you will find that the Adults, Health and Community Wellbeing Directorate is leading the way in personalising services to meet individual's needs and aspirations.

Safeguarding, Practice and Development comprise one part of the service that manages the planning, development and delivery of excellent and high quality services to the people of Essex.

An opportunity has arisen for a full time Customer Liaison Officer within the Customer Liaison Service. This role supports the delivery of high quality customer service for feedback about Adult Social Care services in Essex.

The Customer Liaison Service handle all comments, concerns, compliments and complaints across Adult Social Care, including representations from Councillors and MPs. The team work actively with customers to ensure that services are responsive to their feedback and that their experience is used to improve services.

The post is being offered as a Band 5 fixed term contract, offering a great opportunity for individuals with the skills to support quality customer service to Essex customers. We are looking for people who have experience of handling customer feedback across public organisations using the statutory regulations for adults.

You'll need excellent customer service skills, the ability to manage complex cases and the ability to work well under pressure. This role will involve managing more complex cases, supporting, allocating work and managing staff whilst maintaining strong relationships with operational teams in a rapidly changing environment.

This is an exciting time to join the team as we are introducing new ways of handling customer feedback. We are looking for someone who has good interpersonal skills with an ability to work with a wide range of external and internal customers. As a member of the Safeguarding, Practice and Development team you will be required to take joint and collective responsibility for the development and continuous improvement of the work of the whole team. This is through a self-managing team culture that maintains high professional standards and a commitment to excellence. No day is identical and flexibility is very much the key!
