An opportunity has arisen for an interim Custody Compliance Officer, with extensive knowledge of CASS (Client Asset Rules) to work within a large Asset Servicing Organisation. The role will be for a EMEA Custody Compliance Officer to work within the Compliance Assurance Programme framework, reporting to the Head of Compliance Assurance, and providing advisory and assurance support to the UK CF10 and UK CF10a in relation to the FCA's Client Asset Rules.

You will also be responsible for the inception and implementation of a regional custody compliance assurance programme. You will be expected to liaise with subject matter experts, and ensure common standards and processes are applied where appropriate by local custody SMEs. The role would also require you to become the local custody SME for the UK.

Day to day responsibilities:

- Advisory; you will be expected to deliver notes on regulatory developments, or existing rules, and demonstrate guidance on custody rule interpretation.
- You will be responsible for refining methodology to demonstrate CASS compliance
- Developing a training pack to utilise within the business covering CASS and other jurisdictional requirements
- Maintaining regulator relationships to reinforce the custody assurance programme framework
- Maintaining a network of compliance contacts in peer custody firms and sharing this feedback with the core CASS team.

Necessary Experience:

- Experience within Financial Services of CASS compliance
- A wealth of knowledge surrounding the FCA Handbook
- Knowledge of custody regimes
