CURRICULUM MANAGER - 6 MONTHS - PORT SUNLIGHT

My client has an urgent 6 month contract opportunity for a Curriculum Manager to be based in Port Sunlight.

JOB DETAILS:

Non hierarchal team so no direct reports. The whole academy is 12 people based in Port Sunlight, Kingston and India.

Learning & skills development experience is required. They will have contact with internal groups and other functional academies and managing third party supplier relationship.

Responding to specific learning requests from a group or individuals within ETS.

Must be used to conducting projects on learning needs and working with a business to understand performance gaps and issues. Work through various scenarios for learning needs.

The current Curriculum Manager is working on a bit size learning programme which will require the successful candidate to manage, administer and develop it further. They need to look for improvement opportunities with current initiatives to ensure success on an on-going basis.

Would take over the development of a new suite of instructor training programmes (currently piloting 3 and an additional 3 are at the design and development stage).

Actively identifying continuous improvement.

Integrating social learning (Unilever are at the start of this journey) into their resources. Need to look at how to build their own skills through new media approaches.

The academy is an innovative academy rather than a department who stand still.

Must be comfortable managing and dealing with change within a fast paced environment.

External relationships are important. Gain leverage in relationships to understand what other organisations are doing.

May also work on adhoc projects (individual global events - Time to Shine.)

There will be a handover with the current Curriculum Manager before she moves to another internal role.

Must be used to working with virtual and global teams and dealing with multiple individuals/groups taking into consideration culture, capabilities etc.

Minimal travel is required (less than 10%).

The Hiring Manager has stressed this person must come from a Training or Learning and Development background.

The interview process will be a 2 stage process. One with the current Curriculum Manager and the second with the Hiring Manager.
